After spending seven years in the Los Angeles television industry…
I shifted my career path by returning to school to earn my undergraduate degree. My passion for entrepreneurship led me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship at San Diego State University. During this time, I co-founded Vatra and Healthcare Made Manageable. Our team developed a groundbreaking firefighter fabric for Vatra using NASA’s aerogel technology, earning us a spot as finalists in NASA’s MITTIC Challenge. As Co-founder and CEO of Healthcare Made Manageable, an AI healthcare tech startup, I led the technology product lifecycle, sought fundraising, and oversaw all administrative processes. The HMM Team won first place in the University of San Diego’s SpaceTime Social Pitch Competition, third place, and the audience vote in SDSU’s Chinyeh Hostler Social Venture Challenge.
My internship experiences have provided hands-on learning. As a business development intern at Sea Purity Investments, I created a Qualified Opportunity Fund to drive economic growth in my hometown, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At PatentVest/ MDB Capital, I gained invaluable experience analyzing patents and evaluating whether companies held unique intellectual property, deepening my understanding of innovation in the biotech sector. I’ve also applied my skills to other industries, working with Craitor to create a go-to-market strategy for 3D printing solutions and with CariHealth to determine microneedle manufacturers and a clinical trial plan for a methadone monitoring device, advancing healthcare technology.
In addition to internships, my involvement in organizations such as the two-year Lavin Entrepreneur Program, ZIP Launchpad, Entrepreneur Society, and Delta Sigma Pi has allowed me to build leadership skills and connect with peers who share my passion for innovation. These experiences, along with my academic and entrepreneurial accomplishments, have reinforced that I am on the right path. After graduation, I plan to work as a project manager and consultant while pursuing entrepreneurial ventures in my free time, combining my love for leadership, innovation, and technology to create meaningful impact.
